Email your MP to uprate benefits

Our new Prime Minister must keep his promise to uprate benefits in line with inflation. Failing to do so will plunge thousands more families into poverty, just as winter draws on. 

Our country is in the midst of a national emergency as the cost-of-living crisis gets worse by the day. We know the impact will be far-reaching and long-lasting. A key reason people have been struggling to stay afloat is because benefits have failed to keep up with the cost of living for years.  

It is now of paramount importance that, in the Autumn Statement, Chancellor Hunt and Prime Minister Sunak put stability first - providing reassurance to those of us on the lowest of incomes.  

Inflation is now at an unmanageable 10%. If the government don’t announce benefits uprating on November 17th, it will result in a real term cut to income and yet another financial shock to families already living in crisis.
